On World Aids Day, Department of Oral medicine and Radiology, Sharavathi Dental College and Hospital organized a seminar on Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)/acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). The program started with a welcoming the dignitaries by Mansi, final year BDS. Principal, Dr Samrat M.R., Vice-principal, Dr Shrinidhi M.S. and Dr Usha C, Professor and Head, Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. Dr Samrat M.R and Dr Shrinidhi M.S. addressed the gathering. Interns – Ms. Zulekha, Ms. Rakshitha, Ms. Prakruthi, and Ms. Priyanka Pai gave an in-depth presentation about the etiology, pathogenesis, clinical features, diagnosis, and treatment of HIV virus. The presenters were given a memento and a certificate as a token of appreciation from the Principal and Vice-principal. Ms. Melita, final year BDS, gave the vote of thanks and hence concluded the event. The presentation was appreciated and well received by everyone.
