Every year, on 1 December, the world commemorates World AIDS Day. People around the world unite to show support for people living with and affected by HIV and to remember those who lost their lives to AIDS.
An awareness program was conducted at Sharavathi Dental College and Hospital to educate the patients about HIV/AIDS. Pamphlets and red ribbons were distributed to the patients by the interns. Dr. Usha C., Prof and Head, Department Oral Medicine and Radiology, spoke to the students and interns in depth about the oral manifestations seen in HIV/AIDS patients. The talk was arranged in the AV Hall.
