Anti-ragging week was observed from 12-8-23 to 18-8-23 as per the guidelines from University Grants Commission (UGC) and Dental council of India. Inauguration ceremony of the Anti-ragging week was observed on 14-8-2023, Principal Dr Samrat M R, Vice Principal Dr Shrinidhi M S, Dr Prashant Babaji, Professor, Department of Pedodontics, Mr Raghavendra M P, Reader, Department of Pharmacology, Members of the Anti-ragging committee, SDCH were present. The event was preceded with lighting of the lamp from the delegates, Dr Samart M R spoke about the awareness and importance of observing the week. Dr Shrinidhi M S spoke about the uneventful outcomes of ragging and how it will affect the individual’s physical and mental well-being. Dr Zeenath Ambreen stressed on the rules, regulations and law enforcements against ragging.
- Educational video/short film regarding ill effects of ragging was prepared by undergraduate students- Team Valiants, the video was broadcasted to all students on 17-8-2023 and was well appreciated from Principal and all the staff members.
- E poster competition was organized for students, all students participated and prize distribution for the same was held on 17-8-2023
- Dr Chaitra M P discussed the available support from anti ragging committee SDCH. Students were familiarized with important websites, phone numbers and educational videos which they could refer and contact in need.
