On the occasion of National oral hygiene week celebration, Department of Periodontology organised a public awareness program with various events planned from 2-8-2023 to 12-8-2023. Event was inaugurated on 2-8-2023 in department premises. Program began with invocation song from Miss Nayana and lighting of the lamp from Principal Dr Samrat M R, vice principal Dr Shrinidhi M S, Dr Kala S Bhushan, Dr Meghashyam Bhat and Dr Usha C. Dr Shrinidhi M S welcomed the gathering, Dr Kala S Bhushan and Dr Meghashyam Bhat spoke about the importance of oral hygiene and its awareness in general public. The event was preceded with the releasing of the oral hygiene pamphlets and distribution of free oral hygiene kits to the patients and public. Free periodontal screening and oral prophylaxis was organised from 2-8-2023 to 12-8-2023. From 3-8-2023, oral health camps were scheduled in various parts of Shivamogga in collaboration with the Public Health Dentistry Department. The event ended by vote of thanks from Dr Chaitra M P
