On 31.5.2022, Department of oral medicine and radiology, Tobacco Cessation center and Department of Public health dentistry celebrated “World No Tobacco” day. The event was inaugurated by Dr Shrinidhi M S, vice principal, Dr Usha C, TCC Head, Dr Meghashyam Bhat, prof and head department of PHD, Dr Shivakumar B N, prof and Head oral pathology, after which students from 3rd and 4th BDS year presented skit on effects of Tobacco on oral health to the gathered audience followed by informative talk regrading the same and all took a NO TOBACCO pledge.
Several other events like dental camps, skits were organised in various parts of Shimoga. The event was concluded by the educative rally conducted till Government bus stand.
